Seething - Azores, Portugal (2014)

During the early summer of 2014 my wife and I ventured to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where we spent two weeks exploring the phenomenally beautiful, yet rugged and remote Azorean Islands. These same qualities are captured in this image - one which was quite challenging to photograph. In order to do so, I had to carefully clamber over enormous, razor-sharp basalt rock formations, delicately position myself on top of a narrow ledge, and struggle to retain my footing so as not to be swept into the powerful incoming tide.
